In this video course, Dr. Mohammed Muftah will explain the two common presentations of acute exacerbation of COPD. He will explain the presentation of acute-on-chronic type 2 respiratory failure and altered mental status in the setting of hypercapnia. He will also explain the rule of non-invasive positive pressure ventilation in the management of COPD exacerbation as well as intubation and mechanical ventilation of COPD exacerbation.
